Expected Border Collie litter
Due Mar. 2026
I'm Kim T., the breeder behind Border Collies of Ruidoso located in Mckinney, TX. As a responsible breeder, we are proud of the loving, intelligent, beautiful, and healthy puppies we can provide for others. We love Border Collies and are happy to be a part of sharing the breed with others. Our breeding program started with one beautiful Border Collie that became a fulfilling, lifelong passion! Here at Ruidoso, our puppies are raised indoors and are well-loved to ensure the puppy is happy and healthy. Our puppies are vet-checked before we let them go to ensure optimal health. We believe there's no greater joy than raising puppies for families that provide companions who share unconditional love.

Our puppies have officially enjoyed their first round of mush and they absolutely loved it! This is an exciting milestone as they begin their transition from mom to solid foods. Watching them explore new textures and tastes has been such a joy.

Puppy Update – 4 Weeks Old! This Sunday our sweet litter turns 4 weeks old, and what an exciting stage it is! They are up on their feet and exploring their little world more each day. Their wobbly walks are turning into playful pounces, and they’ve started to interact with each other through tail wags, gentle growls, and even their first tiny barks. Personalities are beginning to shine—some are bold and curious, while others are calm and cuddly. They’re learning important social skills from their littermates and enjoying gentle snuggles with us, which is helping them grow confident and well-rounded. We’ve also started introducing their first “puppy mush,” and it’s as messy (and adorable!) as you’d imagine. Watching them dive in with excitement has been such a joy. We can’t wait to see how much they grow in the coming weeks as they continue to learn, play, and explore!

⸻ At 7 Weeks Old Our puppies are full of energy, coordination, and personality! They run, play, and explore with confidence, while continuing to learn manners and bite control from their littermates. They are fully on puppy food (no longer nursing) and eat 3–4 small meals a day. At this stage, they can start short, positive training sessions for simple commands like “come” or “sit.” This is a key socialization time, so we gently introduce them to new people, sounds, and safe environments to help them grow into happy, well-adjusted companions.

About Minnie
We’re proud to introduce our beautiful AKC-registered black and white Border Collie, who carries a subtle touch of tri-coloring. She’s a truly special girl—intelligent, athletic, and affectionate—with the classic Border Collie look and personality. She loves going on runs, playing fetch, and spending time outdoors. Her favorite activity? Splashing in water—especially if there’s a hose involved! At home, she’s just as happy curling up on the couch and relaxing with the family, showing her sweet and gentle nature. She has an excellent temperament—balanced, people-oriented, and very social with other dogs. She especially enjoys spending time with her mom, Angel, and is a devoted part of our home and breeding program. Her puppies are expected to inherit her strong work ethic, high intelligence, and loyal companionship—ideal for active families, sport homes, or those looking for a loving best friend.

We lost our 5 year old border collie unexpectedly to cancer. We love the breed. We came across Kim and her dogs and saw how well she cared for them. We decided we had to have two. We are absolutely in love with our two dogs. Kim was very responsive and happy to answer questions anytime. Our vet was very impressed with the service she provided as well. Her dogs are soo adorable and we love their little personalities. Thank you for our two little additions to our family. We are soo in love.

Kim was really responsive and helpful with getting connected to our pup Remy (litter name was bubbles). She even traveled with her daughter to personally deliver Remy to us. FaceTimed me to show me their interactions with Remy, their home situation and how she was being raised. You can tell they give lots of love and attention to their puppies.

From the moment we came across Kim’s page and saw the love, care, and passion she puts into breeding and raising her puppies we knew she was the right breeder for us. Leo (FKA Mango) is the sweetest boy. He has a great temperament. He is healthy and thriving and a lot of that is thanks to the care and intentionality Kim puts into breeding. Leo is an amazing addition to our family and we will be forever grateful to Kim and her team. Thanks again! -N&A

Adopting Venus from Kim was a great experience. She exposed Venus to a lot of different experiences (ie. Car rides, cats, being held, ect). I can see that Venus is not afraid of new things and I believe Kim is part of the reason why.
