I'm Jaclyn M., the breeder behind Splashed To Perfection Farms located in Temple, TX. We raise our dogs in our home because they are family. We breed for excellence, health and temperament. We start training at Birth to give our pups the best start and to help them succeed in all aspects after they go to be homes.
We love being able to match our puppies with families that are the perfect fit for their personalities and to get pupdates as they grow!
Q. & A. with Jaclyn
Why did you start breeding?
I have a deep love of Bostons and Danes and when I see all the poor and improper breeding that is destroying these breeds, it’s heartbreaking.
I wanted to do something to help preserve and better the quality of the breed while providing others with the chance to learn about and love the breed as I do.
My daughter is excited to get into the ring to show the breeds as well!
What makes your program special?
We make sure to genetic test each of our pups as soon as we bring them home and we health check them several times throughout their life before we are sure they are fit to breed. We raise all of our dogs in the home with us and they live happy lives being loved on daily. We incorporated Puppy Culture to make sure our pups are well rounded and mentally ready to be a great confident pup and dog in their new homes!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Boston Terrier puppies include red, lilac, blue, and black and white. Great Dane puppies include silver, chocolate, blue, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Good level
Splashed To Perfection Farms reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Boston Terriers.
Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), Full Embark Panel, DNA Coat/Trait Panel, DNA Profile, D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
