I'm Susan A., the breeder behind Brendael Springers located in Yorktown, IN. My dogs are bred for health and temperament with a focus on conformation, athleticism, and intelligence. I am dedicated to providing families with wonderful healthy family companions that can do anything their family wants them to do.
Q. & A. with Susan
Why did you start breeding?
When I purchased Brenna, I had no intention of breeding. However, one thing follows another and in 1986 I bred her to a lovely young dog. Brenna subsequently had a litter of 7 puppies. The rest is history. Every litter I have bred comes down from this first breeding. My current litter is my 14th and represents 7 generations of my own breeding.
What makes your program special?
My goal is to produce puppies that are sound in mind, body, and temperament while conforming to the breed standard. They need to have the ability to participate in conformation, therapy, agility, and other companion and performance events. I raise my puppies following the latest information for breeding and raising puppies. I strive to match puppies with a family where they will be successful.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
