Meet the breeder

I'm Candice L B., the breeder behind Brilliant Golden Furry Tails located in Fanning Springs, FL. At BGFT all our dogs are bread for health and temperament our goal is to provide families with beautiful, loving, and healthy, golden retriever puppies that will no doubt bring a lifetime worth of cherished memories with their new companions!

Q. & A. with Candice L

  • Why did you start breeding?

My entire life I have been around the breeding world, as a little girl I grew up always having puppies around, i got to be very hands on helping my grandmother care for the puppies, I also got to see the many families walk into her home to meet their new babies! I would fantasize about my own program one day! So I started researching the many different breeds, and at 12 my heart set on Goldens!
  • What makes your program special?

I like to think my program is special because of the personal touches that goes into every puppy and the goodies that they get to take home with them as well as allowing the families to meet their puppies starting at four weeks old! I introduce potty training with pine pellets so that the pups get a custom to the outdoor smell without being exposed to potential dangers!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden and golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Candice was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. She was always attentive, responsive, and willing to answer all of our questions and concerns during our puppy’s purchase journey. Today, when we received our puppy, it was such a special experience. We were impressed by the folder containing all of the important information as well as the thoughtful gift bag that came with him. These personal touches truly showed how much care and effort she puts into what she does. It is clear that Candice takes her work very seriously and genuinely cares for the well-being of her dogs. We are extremely grateful for the love, dedication, and professionalism she showed from start to finish. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible and caring breeder.
