I'm Taylor H., the breeder behind Bua Mini Dachshunds located in Bedford, KY. We have shown dogs for over 15 years and have always had a love for Miniature Dachshunds and Shiba Inus. Our puppies are raised underfoot with our children, other dogs, and cats so they come to you used to life in the house. When you buy a puppy from us you gain a dog family for life.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    When I saw a need preserve precious breeds that were really low on numbers and needed advocates to bring new people in to love them as much as I do.

  • What makes your program special?

    I strive for breed standard and do not take lightly the litters produced. All of my dogs are my pets before they are anything else.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our Dachshund puppies include smooth and wirehaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Dachshund puppies include red, black and tan, and chocolate and tan. Shiba Inu puppies include red, black and tan, and sesame. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
