Ginger C.

Breeder of Chihuahuas

Meet the breeder

I'm Ginger C., the breeder behind Carroll’s Chihuahuas located in Mount Dora, FL. We do our best to breed with total care by primarily focusing on raising healthy, affectionate, and loyal companions. As a result of our efforts, we’re positive our puppies will become perfect family members and add just as much joy to your life as they have ours!

Q. & A. with Ginger

  • Why did you start breeding?

When I was a little girl we owned a stud dog (cocker spaniel). I always wished we had the female and the puppies! Now forty years later, that wish has come true.
  • What makes your program special?

Our focus is on the whole dog - physical, mental, and emotional. We work to prepare the puppy for any situation it may encounter. These pups should be able to go anywhere and do anything you ask with ease.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
