Carter's Kennels

I'm Kiley C., the breeder behind Carter's Kennels located in Westminster, SC. We are a family-based program dedicated to raising Miniature Dachshunds with a strong emphasis on health, temperament, and responsible breeding practices. As a husband-and-wife team, we carefully select our breeding pairs with the well-being of both our dogs and their future families in mind. We raise both long-haired and smooth-coated Miniature Dachshunds in a variety of colors, including dapple, cream, piebald, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and select blue variations. All of our puppies are raised in our home alongside our small children and other dogs, ensuring they are well-socialized, handled daily, and accustomed to a loving family environment. Each puppy receives comprehensive care prior to going to their new home at eight weeks of age. This includes their first set of vaccinations, a full veterinary examination, and routine deworming every two weeks from birth. Additionally, all puppies come with a one-year genetic health guarantee. We prioritize responsible breeding practices by genetically testing all of our stud dogs to ensure safe pairings. In particular, we do not breed dapple to dapple, as this combination can produce double dapple puppies, which is associated with significant health risks. All puppies are sold with CKC or AKC registration as pets only.
