I'm Joyce S., the breeder behind Catalina Australian Shepherds located in Arapahoe County, CO. Our dogs excel both in and out of the show ring. They are excellent representations of the breed and have wonderful temperaments. My program was carefully built with an emphasis on health testing and temperament. I start crate training before puppies leave to make the transition easier. Microchipped.
Q. & A. with Joyce
Why did you start breeding?
In the early 90s I bought a beautiful black tri girl. She was am exceptional dog and I wanted to carry on her bloodlines. My dogs today still go back to Fancy. Her legacy has prevailed and her brains and beauty show in my dogs today
What makes your program special?
I believe in health testing and run an extensive list of tests. My pups are all raised in a home environment and we start early neuro stimulation and continue to handle pups daily and expose them to many new objects weekly. We temperament test and place each puppy in the best home for that puppy. Pups are micro-chipped and go home with a 30 day trial of Trupanion insurance. 1-2 litters per year.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
