I'm John S., the breeder behind Cavalier Country Farm located in Cleveland, GA. Cavalier Country Farm is the Retirement Dream. Retired from FL to the Georgia Mountains, raising Dogs for Adoption in a loving home atmosphere was the goal. Along the way we acquired 3 mini horses, 3 chickens, a goat, a barn cat , a Highlands Cow, 7 other Cavaliers,and the Farm was born.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Always a Dream! Wanted to retire from the corporate world in Florida, moved to the mountains, and raise dogs! Dreams do come true!

  • What makes your program special?

    Farm Raised and Family Loved, is our Motto! They are our Family! The pups live in our home, rest on our couch, and enjoy family time with us! Our pups are : Microchipped, Vaccinations to date, AKC Litter registered, socialized and Vet checked. NOTE: not available for Breeding! Pups are for your family pet. You agree to Spay/Neuter your puppy with an Adoption from us.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blenheim, black and tan, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from John

John has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, John partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We take great care in matching our puppies to their fur-ever home. Our questionnaire helps us determine if you are a good match for your puppy. Adoption requires a Certification from buyer that puppies will NOT be bread. Puppies are for family love only and not breeding. ”

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

    John and Karen were great to work with! They were very responsive and within moments of meeting it was clear how much they love their dogs and the breed. I was hesitant at first as they are new breeders, but their openness and honest made me comfortable moving forward with them. At our first visit I was able to meet all the pups and their parents. Buckaroo, the dad, was a little protective but that's understandable lol. I was able to review medical records, AKC paperwork, and the contract. They didn't rush the visit, so I was able to watch and interact with all the puppies. They answered all my questions satisfactorily. I made a connection with Bam Bam. His demeanor was so sweet; he sat in my lap or right next to me the whole time. (He's in my lap now as I type this.) It was a bittersweet moment when I returned a week later to pick him up. There were tearful and emotional goodbyes, which cemented my decision to work with them. I've had Bam Bam for a month now and he's a fantastic puppy. He's so smart and playful. He loves everyone he meets and communicates well. He has a clean bill of health from my vet. I'm looking forward to our life together and am thankful to John and Karen for trusting me with their baby.

    John and Karen were absolutely amazing to work with! They were so kind and gave me my forever best friend. Lily is the absolute sweetest, cuddliest dog and has the best personality!     John and Karen were so great to work with! They are very responsive and helpful with all of my questions and concerns. They made me feel very comfortable and confident in my choice to move forward with them and Rosie. Rosie has been a very welcomed presence in my life so far! She has brought love and happiness and will continue for a lifetime! She hasn’t meet a stranger yet, she’s been to the ballpark full of kids, many places with dogs and every where I can take her that dogs are allowed! Though challenging we are working on potty training and Rosie has found she much rather the concrete patio over the wet grass.. every time.
