I'm Caitlin O., the breeder behind Cavaliers of Ranchwood Acres located in North Carolina. Our AKC Cavaliers are OFA health tested and selected for exceptional temperaments. Our highest priority is producing puppies with the best possible chance of enjoying a long, healthy life.

Why did you start breeding?
Our dogs are cherished family members first and foremost, and are an integral part of our daily routines. Puppies are raised in our loving household environment, becoming well-adjusted to the everyday sounds and movement of family life from the start. We take pride in raising puppies that become deeply loved family members, bringing joy and unwavering devotion to the homes they join!What makes your program special?
Our breeding program goes beyond just exceptional pedigrees. Through OFA health testing, DNA testing, and a strong emphasis on temperament, we intentionally produce healthy Cavaliers with the confidence and biddability to excel throughout their lifetime. We also complete Canine Good Citizen certifications on our adult dogs with a focus on therapy work and service potential.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, tri-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Milly
Milly is a female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel about 2 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Caitlin decided to make her part of their program. Caitlin has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
