I'm Amanda W., the breeder behind Cavaliers on the Coast located in Destin, FL. Our dogs are so well loved. We take great pride in giving families a best friend for life. Prioritizing health and temperament, we are dedicated to providing families not just a dog but a part of their family. After all there’s nothing like the love of a dog.
Q. & A. with Amanda
Why did you start breeding?
Growing up I had two Yorkies and they gave me my soul dog, Palmer. I knew one day I would love to give families the kind of love Palmer has given me.
Yorkies and Cavaliers have always been my two favorite breeds. So my husband and I decided to get Palmer a little ruby Cavalier “sister” that we named Piper.
Very similar in temperament, both breeds are as sweet as they come. Although also very similar in health, both breeds can have a variety of issues.
Saddened by this, paired with a dream to give families a once in a lifetime kind of dog, my husband and I decided to happily embark on the journey of breeding CKCS.
What makes your program special?
How much we love our dogs and the quality of their lives. Health is the most important part and we don’t compromise on that. Our dogs are AKC registered, OFA tested, and screened genetically with a full panel from Embark. They are also very well socialized. They are no stranger to cats and are always in the arms of one of our two sons.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are ruby. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
