Q. & A. with Nickolas
Why did you start breeding?
25 years ago when i started Country Hills Cavaliers, I was a housewife with 2 children that i raised, and homeschooled, on a small hobby farm. i wanted a family pet and after much research, I bought a cavalier. she was flawless! Calm, patient and gentle with my kids, smart, quiet, and simply beautiful. And so began my love, and the start, of my journey in breeding cavaliers.
What makes your program special?
the main reason our program is special is simple, we genuinly love and care about our dogs, and treat them like family because they are. we do Embark DNA testing and have used intentional litter planning to clear out ALL hereditary diseases they test for in our puppies. Parents are OFA certified, AKC registered. puppies are vet checked, and come with a written guarantee.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, tri-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
