I'm Penny D., the breeder behind Chara Cavaliers located in Chico, CA. We offer top quality Cavalier companions, likewise we focus on health/wellness and loving behavior. We are dedicated to providing families with companions that are healthy and loving! Puppies will have a wellness check up, vaccines, deworming, potty/social training, limited AKC Registration unless arrangements are made for Regular Reg, puppy packet and Goodie Bag to go home with.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We want others to also experience the loving, loyal and playful Cavalier breed. We want to offer families a companion that comes from responsible breeding practices and a loving home.

  • What makes your program special?

    Health/Wellness are very important to us. We take the necessary steps in getting our dog's Health tested by Gen Sol Animal Diagnostics. They are a breed specific testing.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blenheim and ruby. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Penny

Penny has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,750 - $2,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Includes wellness check up, vaccines, deworming, AKC Limited Registration unless we make other arrangements to purchase Regular Registration, potty/ social training, and a goodie bag to go home with. Also includes 30 days of AKC pet insurance."

Contract & health guarantee

Penny may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
