I'm Taya F., the breeder behind Charlemagne Shih Tzus located in Auburn, IN. We value responsible breeding practices and want to do our part to ensure that that our dogs and puppies are healthy, well socialized, and those that compliment the breed standard! We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I fell in love with the Shih Tzu breed 14 years ago when I got my first Shih Tzu as a pet!! I then wanted to start showing and raising them! They are the best companion dogs that just want to be with you, whatever you are doing!!

  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs come from quality bloodlines with many show champions! I prefer the look and temperament of the "show" quality Shih Tzus! They will be standard size and weight as according to breed standard! It is my goal to continue that in my puppies and have them be forever loving family members!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are gold and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Taya

Taya has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Your puppy with come with a one year health guarantee/contract, AKC limited registration, first vaccinations, regular dewormings, and vet health certificate! My puppies are raised in our house with our family other dogs and cats! Your deposit will hold your place in line to pick out your puppy from the litter on a first come first serve basis. Families are welcome to come visit and pick out their puppy, but if they are unable to do so, I will send pictures and live videos and help them pick out the best puppy for their family!”

Contract & health guarantee

Taya may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
