I'm Erin F., the breeder behind Charmed Bichons located in Berlin, NJ. Hello! My name is Erin, and I have been breeding and showing Bichon Frises for over 20 years. Dog have been my passion from a very young age - and I was lucky enough to turn that into a career working with animals everyday doing what I love! We are committed to the research, development, and improvement of the dogs we breed. As breeders, our promise is to never sacrifice quality and integrity for quantity.
We like to produce what we call “bulletproof” puppies who are not fearful, very happy go lucky and confident
We health test, breed for temperament using a specific program to create dogs without anxiety and great personalities. All of our breeding dogs have show titles, agility and AKC Championships, but most importantly our loving companions who are part of our family!
Q. & A. with Erin
Why did you start breeding?
I started in 4H when I was 7 years old with my heart dog, Dixie - a Papillon mix who was the best companion I could ask for. We started in obedience and agility, we were very successful and I caught the dog show bug! From there, my parents were generous enough to get my my first show dog - a Bichon Frise named Limerick. I was lucky enough to have amazing mentors by the age of 12, some of the top professional handlers in the country. In my teens I traveled around the country, working as a live-in dog show assistant for those handlers.
What makes your program special?
The homes that my puppies go to become part of our "Charmed Bichon" family. I love staying connected with them throughout their lives and seeing photos/updates. I am always here to help with any questions of information. We also have a Charmed Bichons facebook group where all the owners share pictures and we keep in touch!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Bichon Frise
About Gusteau
Gusteau is my little man!! He is the sweetest, most hilarious loving boy! He had a very successful show career, becoming a Champion and winning multiple Group Placements and Group Wins. He has the most beautiful head and expression, which shows in his children as well! His children have also had very successful show careers as well. Now his grandchildren are carrying it on! We love this little man so much and he just wants to spread love everywhere he goes!

Erin was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. She cares very much about her puppies and dogs. We can tell our puppy was well-bred and raised well even before we picked her up. Lana was carefully “bulletproofed” to loud sounds and socialized with her fellow pups. If we need another puppy or dog, Erin would be the first person I reached out to. Additionally, she helped us identify an appropriate groomer that can do “show” and regular trims and provided documentation about “What to Expect” with our new puppy that described vaccines, food, toys, etc. She also provided us with receipts of all her vaccinations to date, a starter puppy kit (with toys, kibble, and potty mats), and her favorite bed.
Since bringing Lana home, we felt Erin was always there to support us. When we have any questions about food, behaviors, or best practices, Erin is just a text message away. Thank you, Erin, for helping our new family member easily transition into their new home and raising an amazing family of dogs and puppies for future owners.
V/R,
MG
