I'm Susan L., the breeder behind Charming Bichons located in Sacramento, CA. Our dogs are our beloved companions. We care deeply about this breed and are proud to be responsible Bichon Frise breeders. We strive to produce healthy, intelligent puppies that are able to integrate comfortably into a variety of age groups, households, and lifestyles.
Q. & A. with Susan
Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved animals, especially dogs. After adopting my first Bichon Frise 12 years ago I fell in love with this breed. The temperament, love, size, hypo-allergenic non-shedding breed had me hooked. I groom all my own dogs and find the experience peaceful. After I retired I finally had the time to dedicate to breeding, something I always had a passion for. Now, I’m living the dream and doing what I absolutely love.
What makes your program special?
Each litter is carefully planned and in optimal health prior to breeding. All puppies are raised in my home and are well socialized. Families are carefully selected to ensure each puppy is matched with their perspective families needs and expectations.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
