Q. & A. with Desire

  • Why did you start breeding?

My journey into breeding began with my love for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed. I was drawn to their gentle nature, affectionate personalities, and ability to form strong bonds with their families. After experiencing firsthand the joy that Cavaliers bring into people’s lives, I became passionate about preserving and promoting these wonderful qualities through responsible breeding.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes our breeding program special is the level of care, dedication, and personal attention that goes into raising every puppy. Our Cavaliers are not raised in kennels—they are raised as part of our family, where they receive daily interaction, socialization, and plenty of love from the very beginning. We focus on three key priorities: health, temperament, and lifelong support.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blenheim and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Desire

Desire has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Desire partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Our puppy matching process is designed to ensure that each puppy is placed in the home where they will thrive. We take the time to get to know our prospective families through an application and conversation about their lifestyle, experience with dogs, family dynamics, activity level, and expectations for their new companion. Rather than selecting puppies based solely on appearance, we carefully evaluate each puppy’s temperament, personality, energy level, and individual needs. Using our knowledge of the litter, we work with families to match them with the puppy that best fits their household and lifestyle. Our goal is to create successful, lifelong placements that benefit both the puppy and the family. We believe that thoughtful matching helps set the foundation for a happy, healthy, and rewarding relationship for years to come.”
