I'm Rain K., the breeder behind Chasing Rainbows Yorkies located in San Diego, CA. We are pet owners first and foremost. All of our puppies are raised as members of our family until they’re ready to join yours. We do our best to breed with total care by primarily focusing on raising healthy, affectionate, and loyal companions. As a result of our efforts, we’re positive our puppies will become perfect family members and add just as much joy to your life as they have ours!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Yorkshire Terrier puppies include chocolate, tan and white, chocolate and tan, parti, and black and tan. Pomeranian puppies include black, cream sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Rain

Rain has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Rain partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We take great care in placing each puppy in the right home. Buyers are screened and approved prior to placement to ensure the best fit for both the puppy and their future family. Puppies are matched based on temperament, personality, and lifestyle compatibility once they are old enough to be properly evaluated, typically around 7–8 weeks. While preferences are always considered, final placement decisions are made with the puppy’s best interest in mind. Our goal is to create lifelong, successful matches”

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Rain may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
