Q. & A. with Cheryl

  • Why did you start breeding?

My experience as a breeder and animal lover started when I was a young girl on my grandparents farm in Massachusetts. I helped with bringing litters of Doberman and Spaniel puppies into the world. I nursed injured and abandoned animals back to physical and emotional health when they were brought to the farm by the local animal shelter, so they could eventually be adopted. My love of animals continued to grow, and I was naturally drawn to breeding and caring for amazing pups.
  • What makes your program special?

My breeding program is special and unique in many ways. I dedicate 100% of my heart and time to my pups ensuring that they are of the utmost quality, excellent health, and very well-adjusted happy pups. I am able to give each one the best care, love and attention, for I am a full time stay at home pup mom, and I only whelp one to two litters a year. Getting a puppy from me guarantees the very best Yorkie in every way.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

She was very responsive and offered plenty of pictures and updates. For the most part everything went well until the pickup. We had already had a time scheduled to pick up the babies but she had still not sent the contract. We didn’t know anything about the service so we assumed maybe that was normal and we signed at pickup. They showed up with the puppies and handed us “her own contract” that required a wet signature. She has still not actually uploaded the contract on here, my assumption being that it’s not even enforceable by the platform and probably against their own terms of service. The contract states that you have 3 days to get your pet in to see a vet to determine any health issues to be eligible for any kind of refund. She scheduled the pickup for right before 4th of July weekend… nobody was open. She wasn’t even able to get in to see her own vet during that time. Worse than that, she knowingly sent us home with one of the dogs having worms and fleas and never said anything. She had A LOT of worms in her stool, there was no way that was the first time they were visible. It’s not even the issue of the worms, it’s the fact that we weren’t informed ahead of time, especially with the timeframe to get into the vet. All in all we love the dogs and would never get rid of them regardless.
