I'm Samantha N., the breeder behind Chocolate Cavalier located in Sugarcreek, OH. At Chocolate Cavalier, we specialize in breeding genetically clear and socially adept King Charles Spaniels. Our focus is on raising happy, healthy puppies that are well-socialized with children and other dogs. With over 40 years of experience, our team excels in both parent and puppy care.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Samantha's lifelong love for dogs began in childhood, where she amazed others by training her dog with remarkable skill. This passion led her to specialize in raising, training, and showing Bernese Mountain Dogs. Three years ago, she was drawn to Chocolate Cavaliers, sparking her interest in canine genetics and responsible breeding to improve their health.

    Samantha's breeding program is remarkable for her knowledge in dog genetics and training. With years of experience, she knows genetics well and is great at training dogs. Samantha cares deeply about making the breed healthier and happier. Samantha's dedication and skills aim to make Chocolate Cavaliers' lines better, ensuring each puppy shows her care and hard work.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, black and white, tri-color, black and tan, and chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Samantha

Samantha has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Samantha partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes a 2 year health guarantee, AKC registrations, the first rounds of vaccinations & deworming, and puppy socialization. Non-Refundable, but can be changed to another available puppy.”

Contract & health guarantee

Samantha may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
