Meet the breeder

I'm Christina M., the breeder behind Christina’s Cavaliers located in Wichita, KS. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. We have developed several protocols to ensure the health and well-being of all of our dogs. It’s our top priority to make sure each of our puppy families welcomes a happy and healthy new family member into their homes!

Q. & A. with Christina

  • Why did you start breeding?

Well, I love this breed so much that I wanted to share them with the world. I love animals, especially dogs, and I absolutely enjoy raising them and watching them grow into their personalities. I also love to stay in contact with my buyers and watch their babies growing up in loving homes. If they wish to share of course lol.
  • What makes your program special?

We breed for the love of these dogs. All of our pups are AKC Registration, they have had their dew claws removed, and their parents were Health Tested through Embark prior to breeding. Our breeding parents are also OFA clear for all the common diseases. They will also be seen regularly by our veterinarian for checkups and shots and deworming. We make sure you are getting the healthiest babies possible.!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are blenheim. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Syringomyelia (MRI)

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

Christina was the best to work with! I did a lot of research on different cavalier breeders and settled on Christina because I could tell that her dogs are actually her pets and part of her family, not just money makers. That was REALLY important to me. Christina sent me an album of pictures every week of our sweet pup until we could pick her up at 8 weeks. Magpie came to us happy, healthy, socialized, and literally the sweetest little dog we have ever met. She settled right into our family and we couldn't imagine life without her. I am beyond grateful to Christina for sharing this baby with us and making the process so easy and enjoyable.

Christina was amazing to work with; she responded promptly to my many questions and had excellent communication throughout the puppy adoption process. She does a great job with her puppies. My puppy is so sweet and well-behaved; he loves to cuddle on the couch and play fetch. He also does very well with my cats and other dogs.
