Meet the breeder

I'm Susan K P., the breeder behind Claymoore Cavaliers located in Brevard, NC. I cherish each of my Cavaliers and do everything I can to produce healthly long lived Cavaliers. I do this by yearly heath checks, picking the best healthiest "boyfriends" for my girls. I strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!

Q. & A. with Susan K

  • Why did you start breeding?

I first "found" Cavaliers in 1994 and after two years of searching for the right girl I found and bought her in 1996. My first litter arrived in 1998 and I have been hooked ever since.
  • What makes your program special?

I concentrate on quality over quanity - I have on average only two litters a year. I look for the best / healthiest boy from my girls and I only breed in the hopes of keeping a puppy for myself.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blenheim and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
