I'm Karen M., the breeder behind Cocker Eclipse In Home Kennel located in Sumter, SC. I’ve been raising American Cocker Spaniels for 43 years, with the same female bloodline. My Cockers run smaller than average. My dames weigh 15-26lbs & the sire weighs 20lbs. The look of happiness on people’s faces when they meet their new forever companion for the first time is priceless!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got my first cocker over 43 years ago. Her name was Tawni, a buff. I bred her once and my children begged me to keep a pup! I kept the runt, Ginger, a cream. That was all it took! My love for the breed and for pups hit me in my heart. I enjoy making people happy when I deliver a pup to them. I will not ship in the pups best interest but I’ll drive to meet you some of the way or to an airport.

  • What makes your program special?

    For 43 year's, I have been breeding solely Cocker Spaniels. They are raised in my home and given daily love and attention. They’re well socialized with adult dogs and people. The parent cockers are my in home pets. When I retire a dame or sire, they remain with me as part of my family! I’ve had the same female bloodline for all 43 years. I love my fur babies & love what I do. They’re my heart!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and tan, brown white and tan, black and white, red, golden, cream, buff and white, buff, brown, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

“I always let my clients choose the puppy they’re interested in. I screen them and keep them updated on their potential puppy’s progress. If I feel the puppy they’re interested in is not the best fit, I’ll explain why to the buyer. ”

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and $1,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    We met "Tinker" now Greenleigh almost 2 months ago. She filled an empty house with her craziness being a puppy after we lost 2 of our fur babies, one to old age and the other to grief. Greenleigh has been an ABSOLUTE joy for us, when Karen told us she liked to play she wasn't kidding!! Sweet Greenleigh has two modes, wide open and playing or asleep.
