I'm Rachel P., the breeder behind Copper Cliff Cavaliers located in Chino Valley, AZ. We are a small, family-based Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeder dedicated to raising healthy, well-tempered companions. Our dogs are fully health tested and carefully selected. Puppies are raised in our home as part of our family, where they receive daily interaction and early socialization.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    When we got our first Cavalier, we fell in love and knew we wanted to be a part of preserving and improving the breed. My family thoroughly enjoys every step of the breeding and puppy raising process. We especially love finding them loving families they can spend forever loving. I can’t imagine a better family dog than a cavalier and love being part of blessing people with that gift.

  • What makes your program special?

    We put our hearts and souls into our dogs. These puppies live with us and do life with us from day one. They literally grow up in my living room, getting hugs and kisses every time one of us walks by. They are well socialized by the time they go to their new homes and well started on potty training. We take the upmost care to make sure our dogs are health tested, and healthy.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, tri-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Rachel

Rachel has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Rachel partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“We take great care in placing each puppy with the right family. Puppies are 6 weeks old when matched.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes first round of shots, two rounds of deworming, AKC registration, and first vet visit. Parents are OFA health tested. The deposit holds you place in line to pick your puppy. If you put down your depot first, you get first pick etc. Puppies are chosen at 5-6 weeks old.”

Contract & health guarantee

Rachel may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
