I'm Elma B., the breeder behind Country Candy Cavaliers located in Bullhead City, AZ. We have owned Cavaliers for over 20 years and been breeding them for almost 14. My oldest breeding female is now 12 years old and enjoying her retirement here. Our Cavaliers spend most of their time indoors, they do love running around our completely fenced yard in a quiet residential area surrounded by the mountains. Fresh air, exercise, and lots of attention are very important.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Always wanted to breed since leaving high school. Sadly my Irish Setter had umbilical hernia, so vet advised against breeding her. Fast forward 30+ years, I found the perfect area in the country in which I could begin a breeding program. The result was breeding wonderful Weimaraners for over 20 years. I have made many friends and contacts through my dogs.

  • What makes your program special?

    Probably the fact that I am very attuned to my dogs needs and very affectionate with them which crosses over to their personalities. I hug my dogs everyday. Yes, you read that right. How many breeders do you know who does that. Just a very simple action can have such a positive result in the parents and their puppies. It must work because I have had many comments about how different a pup from me is compared to their other dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, tri-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
