I'm Andi B., the breeder behind Country Doxies located in Cedar City, UT. We breed mini long and shorthaired Dachshunds. We are proud of the dogs we breed and the services we provide! Our puppies are raised with love in our home, and we strive to help each one grow up with confidence so they are ready to thrive with their new families. They are affectionate, intelligent, and cute as can be!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have had Dachshunds most of my adult life and love them! I also have a passion for veterinary work. I also wanted to teach responsibility to my young daughter, so we started with one litter and blossomed from there.

  • What makes your program special?

    All of our dogs are very special to us. As long as it's nice outside they are out in the yard which is set up as a playground just for them. Everyone knows their name and is monitored several times a day. We clean and disinfect our facilities twice a day. We work from home so we can spend lots of time with them.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, black, chocolate, brindle, chocolate and tan, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Andi

Andi has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Andi partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes up-to-date shots, deworming, and a health guarantee. We do charge extra for full rights AKC. The deposit is our commitment to each other and is non-refundable unless the puppy becomes ill or passes away.”

Contract & health guarantee

Andi may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Andi offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Andi directly.

  • Animal Genetics Panel, PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 (PRA-crd1)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
