Meet the breeder

I'm Andi B., the breeder behind Country Doxies located in Cedar City, UT. We breed mini long and shorthaired Dachshunds. We are proud of the dogs we breed and the services we provide! Our puppies are raised with love in our home, and we strive to help each one grow up with confidence so they are ready to thrive with their new families. They are affectionate, intelligent, and cute as can be!

Q. & A. with Andi

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have had Dachshunds most of my adult life and love them! I also have a passion for veterinary work. I also wanted to teach responsibility to my young daughter, so we started with one litter and blossomed from there.
  • What makes your program special?

All of our dogs are very special to us. As long as it's nice outside they are out in the yard which is set up as a playground just for them. Everyone knows their name and is monitored several times a day. We clean and disinfect our facilities twice a day. We work from home so we can spend lots of time with them.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, black, chocolate, brindle, chocolate and tan, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

I recently purchased a miniature dachshund from Andi, and the entire experience was absolutely great. From the beginning, she was warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. You can tell she genuinely cares about her puppies — mine came healthy, happy, and already well-socialized. My little dachshund has such a sweet personality and adjusted quickly to her new home, which I credit to the loving environment Andi provided early on. It’s clear she puts a lot of time and heart into raising her pups right. I highly recommend Andi to anyone looking for a quality breeder who truly loves what she does. I couldn’t be happier with my new furry friend!

Working with Andi was super easy. If I had a question even late at night I would get a respond super quick. We got lots of pictures of our little puppy and quickly decided to get him. Andi was also very flexible on pick up times as our drive was very long. If we decide to get another mini dachshund we will 100% be getting it from Andi. Our little puppy is perfect.

I’m so glad that I learned about Country Doxies and Andi! From seeing the first picture of Bernadette to picking her up it was a seamless process and a wonderful experience. Andi answered my questions and was very responsive. I will recommend her to anyone that is looking for their next family member, and I would definitely get my next puppy from her.

I am very thankful for Andi and her support when reaching out to her to get my first puppy! She was extremely receptive and attentive to my needs. She would send me pictures and videos of him! Draco is a healthy little boy! I will continue to support Andi and eventually I will get another puppy in the future.

I had been looking for a new best friend for a few weeks and found multiple sites…including Craigslist. Contacted several who seemed sketchy at best, wanted money upfront just to meet or just ghosted. I happened to find the Good Dog and found a few breeders. Andi was very responsive and so easy to communicate with. It just so happened that we were on a trip to Utah near Andi a week later. That was when I met my new best friend Charlie!
