I'm Susan M., the breeder behind Country Paws Kennel located in Colorado. Our goal is to ensure every dog that comes from our program is set up to live a happy and healthy life and is prepared for its future role when it leaves our care. We provide each of our pups with lots of socialization and love, and we are dedicated to maintaining responsible breeding policies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have been breeding for a long time. when i got my first Pug he was fair from Bred stardards. But still the best boy ever. My love of the breed started there. And I decided to start my own responsible breeding program.
  • What makes your program special?

    I hold mysef to a highest standard, when it comes to my pugs and how I do things. I Do Health testing. I watch who a breed together, By no means should you just breed a male to a female without some knowledge of what health issues they may or may not have . Also the are physical characteristics that should be consider as well.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Susan

Susan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $600 non-refundable deposit and between $1,400 - $3,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The Price difference is whether you are buying a show puppy. Show puppies are sold on a show contract and full registration. Pet puppies are sold with a Pet contract and limited registration. My Deposits are not refundable but transferable. Life can get in our way, but things have come up and it is not the best time for yo to bring a puppy home. Then we wait til it is. I will do this for 1 Year as long as i have had puppies to offer you or unless your circumstances warrant us to do something else.”

Contract & health guarantee

Susan may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PKD), Pug Type, Animal Genetics Panel, Pug Dog Encephalitis (PDE)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
