I'm Tessa C., the breeder behind County Road Puppies located in Athens, TX. After stepping away for a season, I’m returning with a small, intentional program rooted in family breeding traditions. My focus is affordable, pre-loved puppies raised with care, love, and integrity—because puppies should be accessible, not overpriced 🐾.

Why did you start breeding?
I was introduced to breeding through family connections. Growing up around responsible breeders gave me a strong foundation and understanding of the time, care, and commitment it takes to raise healthy, well-loved puppies.What makes your program special?
My program focuses on being affordable and pre-loved. I keep things small and personal, raising puppies in a caring environment where they receive plenty of attention before going to their forever homes. The goal is quality, care, and realistic pricing—not volume.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
