Q. & A. with Mechelle
Why did you start breeding?
As a young child my parents bred Rottweilers for family protection then on to working border collies. My mother bred and showed afghanhounds and poodles. I enjoyed having puppies of my own when i was a teenager. I grew up learning the old ways but fell so much in love with the idea of bettering the breeding world that I continuously indulge in breeder education.
What makes your program special?
We have carefully selected our breeding stock who have gentle dispositions and excellent temperaments, who have also passed all health screenings. Our dogs were and always will be our family pets. Our breeding age dogs are DNA health tested and OFA certified as well as BAER tested and have OFA certified hearing.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
