I'm Jerriann C., the breeder behind Coxson’s Cavaliers located in Ava, MO. Our primary objective in breeding has been to breed healthy, beautiful AKC dogs who are DNA tested: EFS, CCDE, DM. OFA/CHIC certified: heart, eyes, pattellas, and hips. We also use Puppy Culture and Puppies A-Z to help you get well socialized, happy puppies who are ready to go to their new homes.
Q. & A. with Jerriann
Why did you start breeding?
I have been interested in breeding dogs for many years but have just recently came into the wonderful world of cavaliers! I got Maizy as a show prospect 4 years ago and am now moving into breeding. I breed to get show prospects which means I really look for the best. I study pedigrees and health because I want not just beautiful dogs but healthy ones for you!
What makes your program special?
I really seek to breed for healthy, happy dogs. I searched for dogs with not only healthy hearts but also parents. I only breed to get the very best not only for myself but also for you. The socialization, training and rearing from day one is just as important to me to have well-developed puppies. That’s why I incorporate Puppy Culture and Avidog principles into raising these little ones!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
