Meet the breeder
I'm Courtney L., the breeder behind Cricket Hollow Canines located in Augusta, WV. Our goal is not to put more dogs on this planet but to improve the bloodlines of the amazing animals we raise. We are based on a bucolic 50 acre working homestead, which gives our pups a very well rounded start to life. Even temperament, health, and good conformation are our top priorities.

Why did you start breeding?
The shift to dog breeding happened very organically, as I was already in the pet industry. I also always believed that supporting ethical breeders was as important as adopting rescue animals. A good breeder cares about the health & longevity of what they create. The companion animals I raise are very special. I want them with their humans as long as possible. This is my ultimate mission.What makes your program special?
As mentioned, our pups are born onto a glorious 50 acre working homestead, & because of this, they have a very well rounded & unique upbringing. In order for them to see more than just the farm, we take them on trips to town. We have neighbors visit often for good socialization so the pups know many different types of faces. We do Early Neurological Stimulation as well for super brainy puppies.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Poodle puppies include toy and miniature sizes. Cockapoo puppies include mini and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
German Shepherd puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
German Shepherd puppies include sable, black, black and tan, and bi-color. Poodle puppies include apricot, black, cream, red, parti, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Courtney has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Courtney partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“While we do allow clients to reserve whichever puppy steals their heart we absolutely asses temperaments as personalities bloom and will have other recommendations sometimes. We strive for the perfect match without forbidding the client to choose their own pup. ”
Price
“Our puppies come pre registered with the AKC (for purebreds), microchipped, vet checked, up to date on dewormers and vaccines, and with a two year health guarantee. Deposits are non refundable but can be applied to future litters should the perfect match for the client not present themselves in our current litter.”

Frida is an impressive female of excellent imported bloodlines. She is enormous but oh so gentle with humans. She loves nothing more than to give her famous "Frida Hugs" and will hug you for as long as you'll let her. There's a real depth to her gaze, and of all my dogs, I feel like Frida has a very special, connected quality and missed her calling as a service dog. She is so very loving and in tune with people. Everyone she meets falls in love with her. Her striking looks are just a nice bonus. Her personality is what shines brightest. Frida is owned by and lives with me as a house dog. She is extremely protective of me and brave. Having Frida around makes me feel safe.

Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

From the beginning, Courtney was so knowledgeable about the breed. She truly loves animals and puts her heart into each litter. We bought Matlock (previously “Franklin”) from Courtney a few months ago and he is so smart, loving, kind, and great with our young kids. A few days ago, our two oldest (5 and 4 years old) were playing near a giant puddle in the backyard and Matlock at not even 6 months old, ran as fast as he could to them and put himself between the puddle and my kids and wouldn’t let them near it. When you find your forever friend through Courtney, you not only get a dog with solid temperament and a good head on their shoulders, but the compliments we receive EVERY time we are out with Matlock… people stop to tell us how beautiful he is. We are so happy we met Courtney. Matlock is the perfect addition to our family.

Courtney was exceptional to work with when I first noticed Delta girl. She had a super fast response when I applied and was very knowledgeable on the breed and gave me her background story. The whole exprience with Courtney has been awesome...Great communication and very knowledgeable . She kept us updated regularly including pictures, so we never missed seeing our fur baby growing.
