Meet the breeder

I'm Lonna R., the breeder behind CRL Farms located in Springtown, TX. We have been breeding quality Border Collies since 1968. Our dogs are perfect for work or even as loyal, energetic home companions.

Q. & A. with Lonna

  • What makes your program special?

One outstanding sire that sired over 100 puppies was Dakota, who was purchased from the Brown's of Buffalo South Dakota. Dakota was out of Shaffner's Spot and Fanny. As well as being an intense worker, Dakota was a charming companion dog. His desire was to help with whatever was going on. He loved to ride on top of hay wagons and would ride round bales when being moved to feeders. We no longer have any producing females from Dakota but all of our producers are related to him.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue merle, red merle, blue, gold, lilac, red, and slate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
