Meet the breeder

I'm Sarah B., the breeder behind Cumberland Cavaliers located in Acworth, GA. We love this breed and the experience of having litters! Our mission is to raise pups that are set to become the best companions for your family. Our goal is to produce healthy dogs with amazing temperaments for you to enjoy for years to come.

Q. & A. with Sarah

  • Why did you start breeding?

I always had dogs growing up. I was able to see a friend’s dog birthing puppies when I was younger and was fascinated by the process. After getting Penny, we fell in love with the breed and decided to make it a family experience by starting our own breeding program. Penny is an amazing dog and has brought so much joy to our family. We want others to experience the same love for them we have.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are AKC registered and health tested (DNA and OFA) . Our dogs live in our home and are loved on by all six of us. Our girls are very hands on with our puppies. We enjoy taking good care of each litter and loving them as if they are our own until they are ready to go home to their new families. It’s such an honor to provide healthy, well- rounded puppies to their perfect families.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Cavapoo puppies include white and red. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include blenheim, ruby, black and tan, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

My wife and I came across Good Dog by simply searching for trusted breeder sites. When looking for our Rocket, there were SO many options to choose from. It was a bit overwhelming. We came across Sarah’s profile, and we just felt at ease reading her bio and reviews. Reading about having a tight-nit family who are all involved, meant our puppy would be well taken care of and loved on. I messaged Sarah expressing my concerns and questions that I had regarding buying from a breeder, and what the whole process looks like (this is a first for us). She answered everything with clarity. She made it easy. Throughout the entire process, Sarah texted us pictures, videos, and updates on the vet visits. She started calling him Rocket once we told her we chose that name! We never felt any sort of worry. When figuring out how we would pick up Rocket, she was very flexible and gave options. Overall, we have been more than pleased with Sarah and her family. Rocket is home with us today, healthy and just so precious. We are so thankful we chose Cumberland Cavaliers, and we will definitely use them again (if we ever choose to get a second), and will definitely refer them to any friends or family when possible!

I really don't have the words to adequately express what an amazing experience we had with Sarah. We saw her beautiful Cavapoo puppies on Gooddog and reached out. She responded right away, and we reserved one of the girls. From that moment forward, Sarah kept us updated about our pup and sent pictures and videos every few days. She even started calling our puppy by the name we gave her, Bella. Sarah also kept us updated about Bella's first visit to the vet and sent us her records. It is so clear that Sarah and her family absolutely love their dogs and find joy in breeding and sharing them with others. When it was time to bring Bella home, Sarah met us with food, a blanket, and other things to make her transition smooth. We have had Bella at home for about 18 days now, and she is exactly what we had hoped for! She's cuddly and loves everyone, but she is also adventurous and brave and loves to play in the yard. And, she is so smart! We are amazed at how quickly she is learning. We absolutely adore our girl and we feel like we got the "perfect puppy." We are so grateful to Sarah and her family!

Highly recommend Cumberland Cavaliers! Sarah did an incredible job not only caring for Teddy and his dog family, but also sharing photos/videos with us along the way which added significantly to our family's excitement. Sarah clearly set us up for success to provide early sensory experiences, sleep and potty routines, and leaving with items with his litter's scent which made it very easy for Teddy to transition home. As new dog owners, we are also grateful for Sarah's help to answer our many questions. Teddy is healthy, has an incredible temperment, and is happily part of our family.

From the moment I contacted Sarah I knew how much she cared for her dogs and puppies. She was incredible to work with, from the very beginning she sent pictures and videos of my sweet girl. Sarah was always happy to give updates on the puppies and made the process so easy! I take Georgie with me to school pick ups and constantly have people stunned she’s real bc she looks like a teddy bear! Georgie is so smart, sweet, amazing with my kids and has been such a joy in our life! We are so grateful for Sarah!

I recently purchased a Cavalier King Charles puppy from Cumberland Cavaliers and cannot recommend them highly enough! From my first inquiry, they were incredibly professional and transparent, answering all of my questions about the puppy’s health and temperament. She sent me many photos and videos of the puppy. She made the videos of my puppy personalized, and focused on my puppy. This allowed me to see his interaction with the other puppies and her family. It really made me feel that she was more than a great breeder, but also truly loved the puppies and cared for them. It was clear they prioritize the well-being of their dogs; they provided full veterinary records and genetic health clearances for the parents. When viewing the puppies, I was assured they were being raised in a clean, loving home environment and were already well-socialized to household sounds. My puppy arrived happy, healthy, and confident! Cumberland Cavalier provided a wonderful experience from the first conversation all the way through the adoption process. Since my puppy would be traveling from Georgia to Ohio, she was a huge resource and guide for arranging the traveling. She gave me the best recommendation for a travel companion for my puppy to fly safe to Ohio. I have now had my puppy for two weeks and it could not be any happier! This experience was a blessing. She made things simple by providing all the necessary information I needed and answered. I felt confident that I made the right decision before my puppy even arrived. If you are looking for a dedicated, ethical breeder who truly cares, look no further!

From start to finish, my experience with Sarah at Cumberland Cavaliers exceeded all expectations. She and her family do a phenomenal job breeding and caring for their litters. I was lucky enough to adopt from the first litter of Cavapoos. My little girl, Chloe, is perfect. Sarah sent photos and videos of Chloe, her litter mates and the dam during the eight weeks prior to pick up. I set up a playpen and crate in my home to replicate the area that she had spent her first eight weeks. Chloe has spent every night since sleeping comfortably in her crate with the door open and a potty area in the pen, which she knows how to use. She never whines or cries, and sleeps from 11:00 p.m. until around 7:45. I highly recommend Sarah and Cumberland Cavaliers without reservation and thank them for all they do to ensure a smooth transition from their home to yours.
