I'm Linda and Krystin J., the breeder behind Cypress Farm Kennel located in Goliad, TX. We are proud founders of the All Color Boston Terrier Club, and have been recognized as an AKC Breeder with H.E.A.R.T. We take great pride in going above and beyond the norm for our puppy families.
Q. & A. with Linda and Krystin
Why did you start breeding?
My mother, Linda, is the founder of Cypress Farm Kennel. She whelped her first litter of Cocker Spaniels when she was 16 years old. Over the decades the breeds of CFK have changed, but her passion for
whelping and rearing puppies has remained steadfast and thankfully rubbed off on myself. In 2004, I injured my knee and found myself seeking an outlet to pour my heart and soul into. It was then I met, and fell in love with, my first Boston Terrier. With the help of my mom and family, we obtained our first breeding pair of adult Boston Terriers, and by 2006 we had our first litter of beautiful black/white Boston Terriers.
What makes your program special?
We are one of the first reputable breeders to offer Boston Terriers of all colors, and was the first to show a nonstandard-colored Boston Terrier at an AKC conformation event in 2012. Breeding nonstandard colors is not easy in the Boston Terrier world, but we take great pride in being an atypical breeder. Above all else, our breeding program is concerned with health, confirmation, and temperament, which always comes before coat color.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Excellent level
Cypress Farm Kennel reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Boston Terriers.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
