Q. & A. with Janice
Why did you start breeding?
I got my first dog at 4. I helped my dad breed and raise litters for hunting. I have always had at least 2 dogs, lots of breeds. 30 years ago I got my first doberman and fell in love with the breed. I have never had a breed steal my heart and soul like the doberman. Once I got into showing, breeding and raising quality dogs to maintain the standard was the next natural step.
What makes your program special?
I only have 2-3 dogs living with me at a time. Each female only has 3-4 litters. I don't always have a litter, but when I do they take all my time and attention. They are health tested and evaluated for personality and temperament so they are the perfect fit to their new home. It's important to stay in contact with owners and support them to raise a healthy, happy doberman.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and rust and red and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
