  • Why did you start breeding?

    Although I am just starting this exciting new journey, I have owned Australian Shepherd my whole life! Since I've owned the breed for so long, I have great insight into their traits, temperament, and care needs—an excellent foundation for breeding. I am committed to the breed as a whole and want to be an asset in the future of Australian Shepherd breed and community.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our journey begins with a deep commitment to the well-being of our dogs. Each breeding pair is carefully selected for their temperament, health, and genetic soundness, ensuring that every puppy represents the best qualities of their breed. Our dogs are raised in a loving environment, surrounded by care, and trained to develop into confident companions.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Sanona

Sanona has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Sanona partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Puppy Placement Process For companion and pet homes, all prospective buyers are carefully screened through our application process. Once the application has been reviewed, we schedule a phone conversation to discuss your lifestyle, experience, goals, and what you are looking for in your future puppy. Based on each puppy’s individual temperament, energy level, and personality, I will provide my professional recommendation regarding which puppy I believe is the best fit for your home and family. My goal is to ensure both the puppy and its new family have the greatest opportunity for long-term success. While I am happy to offer guidance and recommendations, the final puppy selection is ultimately made by the approved buyer.”

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $750 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
