I'm Anginette L., the breeder behind Dandelions and Kings located in Choctaw, OK. My program focuses on finding families that qualify to receive one of our special puppies that will become therapy dog/service dog trained. All puppies have been started on obedience training, and owners will have the option for additional training at no cost if qualified.
Q. & A. with Anginette
Why did you start breeding?
I began my breeding program in 2024 with the acquisition of Joy, my first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She has been a wonderful therapy dog and has the ideal temperament to provide support to our family. After seeing the difference she made in my own life, my desire to share this experience and help provide lower cost therapy and service dogs to the community was ignited.
What makes your program special?
We serve all families that are in need of a special puppy to help fill a need for therapy and service. If we don't have the right dog for you, we will work with you until we locate and train the dog of your choice.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, tri-color, black and tan, and chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Henri, dad
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
About Henri
Henri is a beautiful black and tan boy! He carries one piebald allele and could throw all four colors of puppies. He is not shy to strangers, and does well with other dogs. He is happy to lounge around or go for a walk. He loves to dig with playmate and escape artist Norman (a rescued cavapoo that is a part of our pack), and is submissive to other males in the pack. He is a care free and wonderful boy that follows mom around to see what she is up to. He's not a complete shadow to her, but checks in frequently to make sure everything is ok. Henri is ACA registered.

Axel, dad
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
About Axel
Axel is my shadow. He has the perfect temperament to be a therapy dog and is a go anywhere and do anything boy. He loves to swim, rides well in the car, and is not shy when meeting new people. He's energetic and loves to play, but is also a big couch potato when I need a day of rest and sitting around. He is AKC and ACA registered, and carries the non-standard recessive chocolate allele. His puppies will carry at least one copy of this beautiful dilution. His deep ruby coat is soft and rich, and he loves to be groomed and sheds moderately. Regular brushing helps to control his shedding. Axel has been DNA tested for genetic diseases and will under go Cardiac and Hip evaluation prior to breeding. Cardiac evaluation is done prior to every breeding to ensure the most up to date health on all of our breeding dogs.
Ellie, mom
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
About Ellie
Ellie is a wonderful addition to our breeding program. She has a non-standard chocolate coloring, and has a special bond with me. She is the most attentive and sensitive towards my needs, and she has been very responsive to training. She initiates play with other dogs, and is not shy when meeting other animals or people. She will be bred in the fall of 2026 for the first time, and her puppies will all carry at least one chocolate allele. Ellie is AKC and ACA registered. I expect her to be between 12-15 lbs when she is full grown. Ellie has been DNA tested for genetic diseases and will under go Cardiac and Hip evaluation prior to breeding. Cardiac evaluation is done prior to every breeding to ensure the most up to date health on all of our breeding dogs.
Joy, mom
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
About Joy
Joy is a beautiful tri-color cavalier with a short muzzle and small head. She is a typical female cavalier with a gentle and sensitive personality. She is laid back and content to sleep under my feet all day while I work. Don't let that fool you though! She loves to chase my Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Jazz, around the yard and play tug of war. She somehow has managed to become friends with Jazz and is pretty much in charge of the all the toys and games they play. Jazz is typically the alpha of our pack and keeps the other puppies in line, except for Joy. Joy has run of the show with Jazz, but is not bossy. She's simply charming and irresistible. She rarely barks and loves to chase bugs. She is also known to become friends with any frog that hops into our yard. Joy is ACA registered. Joy has been DNA tested for genetic diseases and will under go Cardiac and Hip evaluation prior to breeding. Cardiac evaluation is done prior to every breeding to ensure the most up to date health on all of our breeding dogs.
Jane, mom
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
About Jane
Jane is the sweetest Blenheim cavalier girl. She is the one who has won over my special needs sister, Macy. She is gentle and has convinced Macy that laying in her lap is ok. (Macy is not typically fond of any animal in her lap, but has now decided that petting Jane is ok from time to time.) She can be playful with other dogs and cats, but is also content to lay around and watch what is happening around her. Jane has a larger frame and longer snout, and will produce beautiful puppies when she is of age. Jane was added to our breeding program because she is a little larger and has the ideal temperament for therapy and service dog work. Jane has been DNA tested for genetic diseases and will under go Cardiac and Hip evaluation prior to breeding. Cardiac evaluation is done prior to every breeding to ensure the most up to date health on all of our breeding dogs.
Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Excellent level
Dandelions and Kings reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
