Meet the breeder

I'm Kelsey B., the breeder behind Diamond K Corgis located in Buffalo, WY. We produce in the smaller size of this breed, by design, allowing this dwarf breed to remain healthier, & live longer. We don't breed for fluffies, bluies or merles, all undesirable traits in Corgis. We breed 100% pure, no cross, line, or in-breeding. We breed & raise in a high health environment.

Q. & A. with Kelsey

  • Why did you start breeding?

I fell in love with corgis when I was in college and rodeoing. They were the perfect companion for a college kid traveling from one rodeo to another. The compact herding dog was perfect for travel, while still big on personality. My first corgi used to help me load cattle for rodeo practices, and even rode horse behind me. My mother raised hunting dogs before me, but I decided to raise herders.
  • What makes your program special?

I’m the third generation in my family involved in raising and training dogs. We’ve learned countless lessons in raising and training dogs, many of our skills coming from not only the years involved with the canine world, but also have brought a mountain of knowledge from the livestock production world. Our program focuses on breed characteristics preservation as well as health and longevity.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and fawn, fawn, red, sable, white and black, white and red, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
