Meet the breeder

I'm Patricia G., the breeder behind Dovecreek Cockers located in Beech Island, SC. I am a breeder, hunt Judge and show handler of Cocker Spaniels, with a focus on conformation and health. We are also very involved in hunt trials for our breed. Our dogs bring us joy and excitement, our passion and mission is to help others experience the joy of owning a beautiful Cocker Spaniel with great temperament and health.

Q. & A. with Patricia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I purchased my first Cocker back in 1990 and started showing him. I fell in love with the breed, not only for his beauty, but for his versatility, he was not the best confirmation dog and I loved his personality and wanted to reproduce him so I found my first girl dog and started breeding. I have never looked back and have never regret my decision to breed this beautiful dog.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are like family, we raise them in our home where they get socialization from an early age with family, friends, and our other family pets.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, blue roan, black white and tan, black and white, and red and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

It was an amazing pick up for our sweet Max! Patricia did an amazing job communicating with us from the time we inquired about our Max. They even drove half way (5 hours) to deliver him. The transition was smooth! Max is the perfect fit for my husband and I. We couldn’t ask for a better personality of our fur baby boy. We are so in love with him!
