I'm Nikki D., the breeder behind Doxie Trails LLC located in West Haven, UT. I am an ethical, health focused home breeder specializing in well socialized, vet checked puppies. Raised in a loving environment with ENS training and continuous socialization. Transparency, health, and temperament are our top priority.

Why did you start breeding?
My grandparents bred doxies for over 30 years. I have loved the breed since I was a little girl. I started breeding French Bulldogs 5 years ago. I fell in love with the breed after being around our neighbors frechies. Their personalities are very sweet and goofy! I spent a lot of time researching the breed and talking to other breeders before getting into the breed. I wanted to make sure we did everything right to help produce beautiful, healthy puppies.What makes your program special?
I take pride in researching my breeds especially from a genetic standpoint. If there is something I don’t know, I will find the answer but calling our reproductive vet, a trainer or UC Davis for questions on genetics. I attended dog shows and we are heavily involved with our local shelter to make sure non of our breeds stay there. We reach out to the community to find foster or adoptive homes. As a responsible breeder, it is my job to do my part and make sure I help my breeds in any way that I can. We take any of our puppies back at any point in their life for any reason. It’s my job as a breeder to make sure my puppies never end up in the shelter or in the wrong hands.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Dachshund puppies include wirehaired, smooth, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our French Bulldog puppies include brindle, cream, fawn, white and black, tricolors, blue fawn, black and tan, and black. Dachshund puppies include piebald, cream, red, black, chocolate, brindle, blue and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
Getting a puppy from Nikki
Nikki has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Nikki partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price
“The price includes AKC papers limited or full, vet health certificate, vaccines, deworming, microchip, Kennel training and the start of outside potty training and basic obedience. The deposit is non-refundable but we are more than happy to move it to another puppy from a future litter. The deposit goes towards the total cost of the puppy.”

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
