About Claire
Claire is a purebred AKC miniature Dachshund with a naturally good-natured and loving spirit. Gentle yet inquisitive, she explores her world with soft curiosity and a warm, affectionate heart. Her sweet temperament and loyal presence make her a truly special companion. She loves to go on walks and car rides, smelling all the surrounding. Genetics, written in plain language – Coat Color & Trait Summary is genetically recessive red (ee at the E locus), meaning she cannot produce black or brown hair anywhere on her coat. Her coat is entirely made up of red pigment (pheomelanin). Because of this, genes that normally create black patterns (such as black & tan, sable, or saddle tan) are present but not visible in her appearance. She does not carry mask (Em), grizzle/domino (Eg, Ea, Eh), or dark shading variants, so her coat expression is clean and uniform. Red intensity genes strongly favor cream, resulting in a very light cream coloration, which aligns well with what is commonly described as English Cream in Dachshunds. At the K locus (ky/ky), She does not carry dominant black, meaning her coat color is controlled by the A locus—however, this is masked by her ee status. At the A locus, she is Ay/Ay (sable) genetically, but this is not expressed because she is recessive red. She is: • Not dilute (DD) – no blue or Isabella risk • Not chocolate/brown (BB) – black-based pigment genetically, though not expressed • No saddle tan modifier • No panda white spotting • No albinism or pigment disorders She has a smooth/long coat without furnishings (no wire hair), and her coat traits align with standard longhaired Dachshund texture. ⸻ She is a genetically clean, light cream, longhaired Dachshund with no hidden mask, domino, dilute, or chocolate traits. She consistently produces cream-based puppies when paired appropriately.

About Max
Max is our calm and gentle miniature Dachshund, AKC registered. The true gentleman of the family. Loving and patient, he’s respectful of your space but happiest when he’s close by for a cuddle. He enjoys his walks, loves a good game of catch, and has the sweetest way of sleeping—belly up, feet in the air. While polite and laid-back, Max also has a daring side, always seeking out the highest or trickiest spots if it means a better view. Whether he’s snoozing in his favorite pose or riding with his face in the wind, Max reminds us daily of the joy of both adventure and quiet companionship. 🐾 Maximus Hunter is a long-haired, light red/cream miniature dachshund with sable highlights, a straight coat, charming facial furnishings, and subtle white markings. His genetics suggest a sable pattern with some black-tipped hairs and a cream-red intensity mix, with limited roaning or ticking possible in white areas. Based on Maximus Hunter’s genetics: • Base color: Light red / cream with some sable effect (AtAt + Ee1). • Dark pigment: Possible black-tipped hairs, one b allele may slightly soften black. • White markings: Limited, maybe on chest or paws (spsp), possible roaning/ticking (Rr). • Coat length: Long and straight (LhLh + CC). • Facial features: Furnishings present (beard, eyebrows). • Pattern: Sable dominant

C (Doxies4Paws) was superb. She kept me updated with Yogi and Olie. C provided great hints on feeding and care. The two brothers are thriving in the new forever home.
