I'm Julie S., the breeder behind Dusty Road Doxies located in Blanchard, OK. Our love for dogs has overflowed and turned into a breeding program. We breed quality Dachshunds that are gentle, loving, and in great health. All of our puppies come from quality sires and dams. We match our puppies and families with the expectation that they will enrich each other’s lives for the lifetime of the pet and would be honored to introduce you to your next Dachshund puppy!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got my first Dachshund in 1982 and have loved having dogs ever since. My dogs have brought me so much joy and happiness that I wanted to give back to them by producing the highest quality dogs and providing them a wonderful life with wonderful families. I want nothing more than to see each of my dogs and puppies shine.

  • What makes your program special?

    I do everything I can to ensure my puppies have what they need to develop into healthy and happy dogs. I understand the importance of dog health, temperament, and genetics, and every breeding decision is made accordingly. In my breeding program, good health and temperament are essential, and cuteness and love are guaranteed.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, brindle, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Julie

Julie has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Julie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $835 - $2,335 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Puppies come with AKC papers unless other wise stated, dewormed, first shots, microchipped, and vet checked. A deposit of $200 is required to hold a puppy."

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
