I'm Stephanie B., the breeder behind Enchante Labradors and Flat Coated Retrievers located in Coral Springs, FL. We want every retriever that is owned by or bred by us to be a quality animal that we are proud of. To that end, we believe in health testing; feeding quality food and training. Every retriever should have a job, whether it is "couch potato", a child's best friend, a veteran's service dog or a show dog. The puppies are raised in our home.
Q. & A. with Stephanie
Why did you start breeding?
I have had Labradors since I was a teenager in Louisville, Kentucky. When our Labrador named Satin passed away, my husband and I decided to adopt a retired show Labrador named Belle. Belle's show dog side was a complete change but I was smitten with this girl and bitten by the show dog bug. We had two small children by that time, so I shelved the bug for several years. When Belle passed away, I started researching various kennel lines and found two that I was very interested in, located in another small hobby kennel in central Florida. They helped me get into breeding.
What makes your program special?
We are proud to be a member of the AKC's Bred with H.E.A.R.T. program. We were inspected July 14, 2015 by the AKC representative and surpassed the requirements. I am also currently certified in Pet CPR and First Aid through the PetTech Pet Saver program.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Labrador Retriever puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
