I'm Milton W., the breeder behind Enchanting Cavaliers located in Gloucester, VA. Our puppies are excellent representations of their breed, and we are proud to offer our high-quality puppies to loving homes. It’s been such a pleasure to be able to watch every stage of puppy life! We’re so lucky to be able to do this and match wonderful families with our perfect puppies.
Q. & A. with Milton
Why did you start breeding?
We enjoy the opportunity to work with our dogs and it was a natural progression to breeding health cavaliers that come from solid backgrounds producing healthy, happy puppies. Having bred springer spaniels years ago, starting breeding cavaliers was an easy and pleasant change as breeders.
What makes your program special?
We strive to have solid pedigrees and DNA testing on all our dams and sires. We raise puppies that are well adjusted to life including other dogs. We don't let our puppies go home until week 10 so they have had 2 rounds of shots and have had the 2nd vet visit to know they are healthy. We are very hands on with only cavalier puppies raised in our home.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, black and tan, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Great level
Enchanting Cavaliers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
