Meet the breeder

I'm Raina A., the breeder behind Fenloch Gundogs located in Phillips, NE. We do NOT sell our pups to pet homes. Why? Our breeding program consists of top of the line Field Trial lines utilizing importation of frozen semen for our Labs and Working English Cockers. As such they are bred for a high level of intensity that is just "too much dog" for pet homes.

Q. & A. with Raina

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always had a love for all animals, especially dogs. I also have a passion for the "old" lines and looks of Labs from the '70s and early '80s. My goal is to breed a dog that can do it all—be a dedicated family member as well as being a dog that can be an asset in the hunting fields and hunt tests.
  • What makes your program special?

I import semen from the UK for my Cockers in order to provide diversity and to maintain looks, action, and health. I also use frozen semen from the top-performing US-bred field trial Labs in the country. I am passionate about my work and look forward to connecting with you!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our English Cocker Spaniel puppies include black, blue roan, golden, lemon roan, liver, and liver roan. Labrador Retriever puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
