I'm Shayna S., the breeder behind Feu des Étoiles located in Cherry Valley, CA. In addition to having stellar temperaments and conformation we want to make sure the dogs have the ability to do what they were meant to do, herd! Our dogs do not lack in drive or instinct but they still maintain an off switch which makes them easy to live with! We do NOT breed for protection dogs.

Why did you start breeding?
I absolutely fell in love with the breed and all they are capable of doing. I think they are amazing and we need to preserve the structure and function of the Beauceron not just breed to breed.What makes your program special?
We place a lot of emphasis on temperament and workability. We are also extremely selective in our pairings and placement of puppies they are never placed on color or gender alone they are matched with their new family based on temperament as well as the gender and color preferences of possible. We also provide lifetime support for all of our puppy families as well and showing & boarding if neededWhat are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include harlequin and black and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Shayna
Shayna has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Shayna partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.
“I will match puppies based of their personality and the personality of the family to make the best possible match ie: higher energy confident puppies with higher energy families. I always try to keep gender and color preferences as part of that process but harlequin puppies are not as available as a black and rust so sometimes that isn’t possible. I do try to only place show prospective puppies in show homes or homes that will allow me to show the puppy. ”
Price
“AKC registration pre-paid, microchip, 1st & 2nd round of vaccines, puppy starter kit which has toys and food, stated crate training and leash walking, exposed to livestock and instinct testing. The deposit is applied to the purchase price of your puppy but does not cover ear cropping which needs to be paid in full prior to the crop being performed.”

About Halo
Halo is a very affectionate, high drive occasionally spicy red ACD. She loves to show, swim and herd but she is up To do anything we are wanting to do! She’s 17” tall and on the bottom of the standard for height but she has the personality to make up for it! Halo has several offspring showing and doing well as well as quite a few siblings that have achieved their Grand Championship in conformation.

Lane is a very young boy still and so far has a spectacular temperament, a natural eye for his livestock. He is very social, biddable and extremely easy to live with! He’s great at helping with ranch chores or happy to lounge inside to avoid the heat. He is also happy to just chill and does not need constant reassurances that what he’s doing it correct.

Tally has been the most incredible addition to our family, always steady and consistent in her temperament and incredibly biddable. She has very strong herding instincts and a LOT of drive, she is also excelling in the conformation ring and working towards her versatility bronze with the ABC

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
