I'm Hope G., the breeder behind Firelight Australian Shepherds located in Arlington, TX. We value responsible breeding practices. We enjoy participating in the show ring, and our Aussies are our companions in every adventure. We work hard to produce well-rounded puppies and excellent family pets! We offer to keep tail and dew clays with a deposit. We make copies all our health testing for your vet to review.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    When I was a kid we rasied hunting dogs. As I became an adult I fell in love with working dogs. Then I got a cutting horse in 1998 and fell in love with herding dogs! I have the best mentor breeders as friends and we all show together! Always learning new skills! Training Tip... Aussies want your trust, give them 100% in 18 months... you'll be thrilled for life!

  • What makes your program special?

    I'm in no hurry to produce pups for sale! My top priority is my dog's overall temperaments, long life spans, and nutrition. We are passing down excellent traits, temperament, and genetics, and real food from conception. We are pleased to say all our dogs are all titled Champions! You get our award winning amazing nutritional package for an easy transitional first week after leaving the nest!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Hope

Hope has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Hope partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“I only take 2 Prior Deposits before picks begin at 4 Weeks of Age. If you don't pick, you can be skipped over. Before I agree to another buyer's pick, the first and second pick will get notified of the pup the new buyer would like, giving you one more last opportunity. People sometimes don't pick until 6-7 weeks. The reason maybe the pup is small and we are waiting to see pup catch up to the others in size or you are trying to find the best temperament in the litter, it happens more than you think people come visit 2-3 times before picking that perfect pup for their family. Puppy prices include a $600 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $3,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Prices Determined By Confirmation, Colors, Eyes, Show Quality, Parents Titles, Temperament, Pedigree, Age, and Registries. Firelight has the right to refuse transfer of ownership for any reason. . A deposit gives you a reservation for an upcoming litter 1st deposit 1st pick. Pick from available pups. 1st Pick is always available to the Kennel. Deposit holds you're pick until delivery date.”

Hope may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Animal Genetics Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    First and foremost, Hope is an absolute angel. We are so grateful to have met such an amazing person and friend through this process.     Hope was wonderful to work with! She was quick to share helpful tips and readily answered any questions I had.
