I'm Vita F., the breeder behind Fountains Courageous located in Leesville, LA. We are a small enough program that we are able to thoroughly focus on each individual dog and puppy and their needs. We take pride in the time and dedication we give to every litter. We are very hands-on with our puppies.

Why did you start breeding?
Shiba Inus are a very special and unique breed, I love being a small part of helping their popularity grow-locally and nationwide, and to have the goal of bettering the breed in mind and in practice.What makes your program special?
I am proud of my dogs for having good temperaments and good confirmation, they love people and are each unique in their own way. We are working on expanding our puppy program to include go home baggies and to further work on kennel training and everyday grooming. My pups are exposed to my babysitter dogs, my cats and my toddler as well as other adult people.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

"Price includes birth to 8 wk old vaccinations, puppy, deworming, puppy socialization, vet exam. My deposit is $200, which goes to the total amount of the puppy being sold."

Program update on 25 June 2025 •I have 2 adult shiba inu available. A male and a female, both are red. Around 4 and 6 years old. Super sweet and affectionate. Will have a vet exam/wellness checkup before leaving.

Program update on 05 May 2025 •…Aimi is retiring! She is ready to live a long life as a pet, in a pet only home. She is right around 5 years old, full of energy and affection! She loves walks, attention, and treats. She even enjoys being held, too. Aimi last gave birth in October and has weaned since then. She is chonky and fluffy! She gets along with my cats and other dogs, she doesn't currently like sharing food. Message for more info!
