Meet the breeder

I'm Kirk M., the breeder behind Foxrun Gundogs located in Swansea, SC. Our dogs are highly driven, talented Gundogs, and we carefully plan each breeding with an eye on improvement in working ability, trainability, and health. We spare no expense in the care and development of our puppies, and carefully match puppies to their new owners.

Q. & A. with Kirk

  • Why did you start breeding?

I began breeding Deutsch Kurzhaars from my personal dogs in an effort to improve my own kennel. Both dogs were raised, trained, performance-tested, and health tested, by me. I loved the process and knew it was something I wanted to continue. I was introduced to Pointers and English Cocker Spaniels and never looked back.
  • What makes your program special?

We strive to produce world-class English Cocker Spaniel gundogs in every aspect, and unlike many others in our breed, we fully health screen our potential breeding animals. In addition, we offer stud service only to health tested, quality females.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
