I'm Stacy B., the breeder behind Freckled Roots Farm Dachshunds located in Cottage Grove, OR. Our farm is built on a foundation of faith, family, hard work, and a genuine love for animals. Our dogs are beloved family members, and our puppies are born and raised in our home, where they are exposed to everyday household activities, children, and the sights and sounds of farm life.

Q. & A. with Stacy

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our love for Dachshunds began with the breed itself—their intelligence, affectionate personalities, playful nature, and loyalty make them great companions. As lifelong animal lovers with years of experience caring for a variety of farm animals, we became passionate about preserving and improving this wonderful breed through ethical, intentional breeding.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised in home, exposed to children, adults, farm sounds, and everyday experiences to encourage confidence and adaptability. Our farm lifestyle allows our puppies to grow up in a calm, enriching environment surrounded by nature, daily family interaction, and plenty of opportunities to explore, play, and develop into confident, well-adjusted companions.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
